The leading hotels in the world

AUSTRIA - INNSBRUCK - HOTEL EUROPA TYROL - [website]

Hotel Europa Tyrol

The “Hotel Europa Tyrol” is Innsbruck’s first address not only because of it’s location near the world-famous “Goldenes Dachl” and it’s price-winning restaurant.

This hotel is situated central, opposite the railway station. There are local bus and taxi stops right next to the hotel. The “Europa” offers great connections to ski- and golf-areas as well.

The “Europa” combines Tyrolean tradition and the atmosphere of the old Austro Hungarian Empire. It is owned by Mr. Otto Pattner who has, with his warm-hearted hospitality, created an atmosphere which is appreciated by prominent visitors all over the world. With a reception, lobby, salons, bars, congress and business-centers as well as a great awarded restaurant – all the public areas in this hotel characterize a stylish atmosphere of the timeless elegance.

Built in 1869, it has been nothing else than a hotel and apart from that it is actually the oldest hotel in Innsbruck. During the war it was destroyed even 2 times and rebuilt again with love to detail. Some parts remained like they’ve been in the old times.
They kept the hotel in the old style but combinated it with modern equipment, so it’s up-to-date and destroys the opinion that every hotel with an own long history is old and tasteless. It’s the perfect place for better business-travelers.

Just to mention some services: The customer can rent computers, mobile phones, cars and even bicycles, in addition the hotel offers secretarial and valet service and complimentary newspapers. I also want to point out facilities like a news-stand, shops, a hairdresser, a bank or a travel agency. The well-known express check-in and check-out allows you to save some time. A garage which they’ve an eye on as well as a parking lot are available. You can also request a limousine service.

The “Europa” has 108 first class rooms and 14 luxurious suites, distributed on 5 levels. Depending on the location of your room, there are also panoramic views on the majestetic mountains which really take your breath for a while. All rooms are fully equipped and offer a modern comfort expected by guests who stay in a hotel of this standard. They’re all decorated with paneling over 300 years-old and are all in a different style. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and individually tastefully furnished. They’ve done them up very nicely, not kitschy and exaggerate.
The recently built Bel-Etage on the upper level, the “executive floor”, comprises 2 President-Suites and 6 Junior-Suites.
Every room has apart from Satellite-TV, ISDN-IDD telephone with voice mail, hairdryer or mini-bar for instance, air-conditioning and free safes. Non-smoking rooms are also available. You can enjoy extra-services of a great five-star hotel. They really care for their guests and do everything that they feel good.

The hotel has seven banquet rooms. A state-of-the-art technical infrastructure comprises everything from ISDN lines to a video-conference. This ensures that conferences run smoothly. So all rooms offer the newest technical equipment, are air-conditioned and have natural daylight as well.

This hall you could see on the picture remained originally. During the war a bomb dropped in but, thank heaven, didn’t explode. This old, but lovely and carefully renovated hall, used for several events, brings a style to you which gets more and more famous and enjoys great popularity these days. There’s no better place to held personal wedding arrangements, and I’m sure this will stay in your mind forever. Things are not fixed and can be changed very easily, this allows you to use it for many opportunities. Meetings of the European commission as well as the government are accommodated here.

The cuisine of the “Europa” has a reputation for various fine tastes. The restaurant got awarded as well, not least from “Gault Millau”. The so called “Adlerstube” offers it’s guests as I’ve outlined before delicious Tyrolean dishes – creative specialties made from local products – as well as interesting dishes, all prepared top-fresh. The guests dine in an elegant atmosphere of the wood-paneled rooms and enjoy the delicious food.

Personal note: Mr. Andy Smulders and I’ve stayed two wonderful days in that great hotel and strongly recommend it people who expect great service. We enjoyed that they had an eye on us and that they made us feel like at home. We’ll sure visit it again.
