Comments: This is the domestic airport of the Capital City of Australia. Canberra does not have an International Airport, so you will have to go to Sydney or Melbourne to start your International journey. Sad that you have to pay a parking fee to leave your car there. I think they need more money or so.

Canberra airport is Australia's National Capital Airport. It's not a very big airport but they have got great facilities. Because the airport is daily used by members of the parliament (the government and parliament is settled in Canberra) the business facilities are very good. A nice and big Qantas Club lounge is part of the service been given to the business travellers. Canberra airport is an International airport. Many foreign presidents and Royalty have landed here to visit the Australian Capital and Parliament. The airport got two runways and the longest is 1,680 meters. A Boeing 747-400 and a DC10-30 landed once on Canberra's International airport, but normally the airport is used for Virgin Blue's and Qantas 737 and smaller aircrafts.
