Comments: This large waiting area is at the end of the
domestic finger.
There are departure lounges for specific gates around this common
waiting lounge. The upper level of the domestic wing presumably
provides a path for arriving passengers to get back to the main terminal
building. The international wing is symmetrical, and the upper level is
definitely for arrivals and provides a sterile corridor to the
quarantine, immigration and customs areas of the main terminal building.
Shops, first class loungers, and snack bars are located all along the
length of the finger. There were no prohibitions against taking
photographs of the interior and exterior of the terminal. More lounge
space was located at the ground level for gates that use coaches to get
passengers to their aircraft. There was a feelling a spaciousness in
this building.
Rating 1-10 (worst to best): 9 (Minus 1 point for lack
of prominent
signs indicating which gates were at the lower level.)
